You sir win the award for the least molested Del Sol I have ever seen. Additionally, I love the EP3, I used to have one in Blue, managed to keep it bone stock and beautiful, whatever you have done to that one is quite tasteful! 10/10 would hoon.

del sol or ep3? Which did you find better performance and handling-wise in your opinion. Im rather curious.

About 300 and something HP and 100 ft lbs of torque between the three...

Seriously though, nice looking Del Sol. I keep thinking about one for my next toy car. Just not sure about it, since I'm trying to get away from FWD.

The EP3 was stock other than some Eibach springs on it. 2.0 K motor with 160 hp.

The sedan was stock EX with just the Enkei wheels. 1.7 motor with I believe 125 hp.

The del Sol was the DOHC B16a version. My wife and I toured the country with it while it was stock. After 160k miles it ended up being my track car. Replaced suspension with plastic bushings, full adjustable control arms both front & rear, ITR sway bars, Ground Control coil overs, 400lb springs with Koni Yellows, ITR brakes and master cylinder and braded brake lines. Other than the removal of the fender air tube, the motor was completely stock. Uncomfortable on the street, but a pure blast to drive on the track. Some of the regulars that had NSXs said it was the best sorted FWD they'd ever driven. Other than regular maintenance the only thing I ever had to replace was the clutch when one of the springs inside broke.

Frankly, despite the springs and sticky tires, the EP3 was not what I would call a good handling car, and I soon traded it for my Forester XT.

As you may have noticed, all three are decal-free.

This is seriously not helping my desire for a fwd Honda project... off to craigslist I go.

Nice rides though, I dig the clean look.

Never much liked the del sol and I've never driven one, but the thing is I'm like 99 percent sure I'd like them if I drove one.

There's something g about eg and EK civics that is just so fun and so tossable. That's an amazing example of a del sol btw. Beautifully modded and with the correct engine from the start to boot.

I found pretty quickly the limit of mods you can make before open-top chassis flex rears it's ugly head. Unless you cage the thing or otherwise tie the two ends together, the del Sol will never handle as good IMO as a similarly equipped coupe or hatchback of the same vintage. This thing was fully braced, top to bottom front and rear, but it still flexed pretty bad. Especially with sticky tires. Lots of cowl shake. If I had another I'd keep it fairly stock and enjoy it for what it was built for.

Thanks. I replaced the funky do-nothing middle lights in the front with some PIAA 910's. They fit perfectly in the oval housing and gave the vehicle a much needed improvement in night vision.
